KANGAR, April 12--The menteri besar and chief ministers are more suitable for appointment as the respective State Umno Liaison Committee Chairmen, said Perlis Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Md Isa Sabu.
If the menteris besar or chief ministers were not appointed as chairmen of the State Umno Liaison Committee, he said it would be difficult to coordinate administrative matters related to politics.
Commenting on the proposal by Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam that administration and politics should be integrated, Md Isa said administration and politics should be placed under one leader at the state level.
"It's up to the Umno president to decide whom he wants to appoint as the Umno leader in the state," said Md Isa. Bernama
